needed to get these puppies down and do a little documenting.
1. grey leaves me notes and pictures everywhere. it really is so sweet and i leave them wherever he tapes them for weeks because i can't bring myself to take them down.
2. we have been spending LOTS of time outside lately. hiking or running, it's the perfect weather right now. grey is the best little running buddy and can keep up pretty well.
3. tuck is blossoming in new ways all the time. some of his smarts are starting to come out and he is learning lots more than what the eye can see. i love the above picture of him. he found a "Q" in some letter cookies we have and remembered where he had seen one. he found the book and wala! instant gratification for that fella. i was very proud of him and he was proud too. then he spelled his own name with his cookies and blew us all away!
4. i just love this picture of the boys around the fire. such great memories.
5. just a snippet of our monday school days. the 5 year olds attached at the hip and the 3 year olds all really wanting to do their own thing...together. it's an interesting but lively mix!
6. i didn't ask them to pose. this was truly me capturing moment. unreal.
7. FIELD TRIP! of course we visited a pumpkin patch! this one happened to be one fun trip. the kids didn't want to leave and since they didn't, i didn't either.
it really was great. hayride with a scavenger hunt, corn maze, had the farmer tell us all about pumpkins and let us pick big ones to take home, huge play area and fresh fruit slushies. it was perfect and they could have stayed all day. they were busy little explorers.
8. trampoline hair! and attack marmie!
9. last soccer game. grey really enjoyed his soccer team this season. they all seemed to get along well. coach rich handed out awards to each player at their closing ceremony. grey got "the friendly award." this is what was said, "this player was always smiling and encouraging his teammates. he did everything we asked him to and was happy to do it. he was so friendly to everyone he even let the other team have the ball sometimes!" that's the grey bear in a nutshell!
10. we watched the airplanes take off before welcoming our dear friends home from Ecuador. Mia Gale is now home with her forever family and it was such a joy to be a part of welcoming her here!
11. trunks and treats.
the boys loved it. every bit of it. the students had the best trunks by far! the junior group did a race and the boys must have run it 5-10 times each. they racked up on the medals.
they loved seeing their friends in costume!
12. in school we have been studying pumpkins (of course grey won't touch the inside) and tuck has been making us "coffee" by the fire.
that just about wraps up this dump session!
i don't even know where to start. i guess here: those blue eyes! you've got some seriously handsome boys on your hands :)
ReplyDeletei can't believe how much tuck has changed. he looks so much older lately!
and grey's notes are so precious. someone is paying attention to his daddy (or mommy!)..or he's just a sweetheart all on his own :)
