Cousins!

Grey got to hang out with both of his "Tidd" cousins this weekend! We all had so much fun. It is so cool to see the three of them together. The older they get, the funnier they are. They each have their own individual personalities and I love seeing them "play together."

We all got to my parent's house Friday evening and my mom made a yummy dinner that they had in Alaska this summer. It was absolutely delicious! We then spent the rest of the evening laughing at each other playing wii Fit. Saturday we took a walk in the morning and tailgated at home while watching the Clemson vs. GA Tech game! Chad, Nathan, and I were long time GT fans before actually attending Clemson. My dad is a proud graduate of GT :) We took a trip to the park and then Matthew and I left after our dinner at Anita's. We proceeded to drive home and AGAIN, we got a flat tire! This is our second one, while driving in the dark, in about 3 months. All is well and we made it home. We had such a great time with our family and can't wait until Thanksgiving.

The City with Big Fish and so much more!

We had the pleasure of a visit to Atlanta last week to see Uncle David, Aunt Stephanie, and Maddie! Matthew had a conference (at which half the ministry world attended) and Grey and I got to spend two days with Steph and Maddie. We, of course, lived the life. Thursday night we went to a cooking class (not with the kids) at Whole Foods. It was done by the man that owns Sugo, a Greek Italian restaurant. It would take me a while to write all the details of class I would like so I will just sum it by saying I have never tasted food so stinkin' good! Let's just say this man roasts garlic for 5 hours and adds a little honey to all things!

Friday morning, the four of us went downtown to the aquarium. This was my second time going but first with Grey and Maddie. I absolutely loved listening to the way that Maddie took it all in. (she's been before but was super excited) Grey really enjoyed the first half. He wanted to lay on the floor in the front of each tank or exibit and see the fish/sea animals eye to eye. There is so much to take in! He had a major lack of sleep last week and so the second half was a little rough due to his extreme exhaustion.
Grey does whatever Maddie does, listens to whatever she says, laughs at her, and thinks she way cool so I'm pretty sure in this picture they are having an intelligent conversation about the fish.

Check out that shark!
As you can tell, Grey had had about all he could handle. Maddie was awesome!

Sky Top Orchard

As is our fall family tradition, we headed up to Sky Top Orchard near Hendersonville, NC yesterday. Matthew and I have been going for 4 years now and this was Grey's first trip. The whole day was so much fun! Grey absolutely LOVED it and we loved it even more this year seeing it through his little eyes. We all picked apples, ate apples, had apple slushie (yes, this is simply amazing), had hot apple cider donuts, played on the playground(s), played in the pumpkins, rode the wagon, and saw "how tall this fall." Do you have memories that just bring you so much happiness?! We made one of those memories yesterday with just the three of us. Matthew took some really good pictures. They speak for themselves.

Before the picking began

He probably picked half a bucket all by himself. He couldn't get enough of it!

He climbed so high on the ladder into the tree I almost couldn't reach him!

He is actually watching me do karate moves. Don't ask how I discovered this makes him laugh really hard.

Man Work

I do love that Grey partakes in every activity that we do and he HAS to do by himself. We should never even think of helping him. He now plants his own plants and changes our flat tires. We sure are training him up right. I love watching him grow!

Yes, he often eats handfuls of dirt

Grey is clearly working harder than Matthew
