As is our fall family tradition, we headed up to Sky Top Orchard near Hendersonville, NC yesterday. Matthew and I have been going for 4 years now and this was Grey's first trip. The whole day was so much fun! Grey absolutely LOVED it and we loved it even more this year seeing it through his little eyes. We all picked apples, ate apples, had apple slushie (yes, this is simply amazing), had hot apple cider donuts, played on the playground(s), played in the pumpkins, rode the wagon, and saw "how tall this fall." Do you have memories that just bring you so much happiness?! We made one of those memories yesterday with just the three of us. Matthew took some really good pictures. They speak for themselves.
Before the picking began
He probably picked half a bucket all by himself. He couldn't get enough of it!
He climbed so high on the ladder into the tree I almost couldn't reach him!
Sharing an apple
Enjoying one on his own
He is actually watching me do karate moves. Don't ask how I discovered this makes him laugh really hard.
Caught up in the moment
Yay for pumpkins
showing off their "muscles" b/c their growing
So cute! We are going there soon for our first trip and I can't wait! Looks like y'all had fun!
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest pictures..... I only wish they were here in Apple Country Ellijay..... so that we could see you all! We miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteThe apples are coming in here and the season is upon us. Next weekend starts out Apple Festival...two weekends in a row...and it seems all of Atlanta comes up here.... well, not really, that's a bit of an exaggeration... but for our small town, traffic feels like all of Atlanta is up here. : )
You all look awesome. I just LOVE seeing all the pictures! I'm so glad you started a blog.
Love ya,
Aunt Julie
