thankfully we are squeezing in a bit more summer this week for our family but as i was wandering through the pictures on my phone, i found quite a few that made me realize what a wonderfully pleasant summer we have had.
and it's almost time to say goodbye.
goodbye to pool days that wear everyone out.
goodbye to every afternoon popsicles on the porch.
goodbye to summer storms and the rainbows that follow.
goodbye to lazy mornings.
goodbye baseball in the yard into the evening and on to soccer practice instead.
goodbye to cute litte boys in jon jons and walks in just a diaper.
goodbye to long days with special friends accompanied by no schedule.
goodbye impromptu weeknight dates. (well let's hope this is not goodbye)
goodbye to all the things we love about the hot summer.
and HELLO more school and schedules and leaves and cool air and acorns and pumpkins and exercise routine. whew.
but first we'll soak up the last of the summer.
