the grey bear

five is by far my favorite age so far. though it's hard to say that so definitively, it's definitely true for me.

there is so much i enjoy and most of it comes through our conversation with one another. 

as he learns to reason better. as he learns to apply truth to his life. as he develops hard, fast likes and dislikes. as he tests his will to a different degree and we learn through that together. 

it's almost like the toddler years. but so very different. all the learning happens so quickly and the changes abound. they are more changes of the mind and heart rather than physical but rapid growth nonetheless. 

there is constant shaping as this boy grows into a young man right before my eyes.

yep, five i wish he could stay. but i know there is more fun just around the bend...
