summer days.

summer storms with torrential rains and puddles and rainbows left over. 

planning for our trip to chicago all together and summer days and nights at the pool and on swings watching sunsets. 

An A+ summer indeed. 

the weekly | twenty nine

matthew and i snuck off for the most glorious few days all alone. we went back to hilton head just like last summer. our time was much needed. we immediately relaxed and had the most fun together. 

our few days were full of beach combing. sun rise, sunset, and even in between. we walked about 20 miles together and held hands the whole time. we were in awe of God's glory that is more than evident in a such a place. we read and napped and just flat out enjoyed each other so very much. 

we came home to our three wild indians and celebrated my birthday with family. the boys treated me like a queen and now i'm 31.

here's to another full year of God's mercy and faithfulness that is so much anticipated. 

the weekly | twenty eight

lots of summer fun. 

we came home to beautiful flowers blooming and are able to have fresh flowers in the house each week. 

the boys had nature camp, swam like fishes in our new pool, and were just flat out boys. i love the last photo of a summer afternoon. i'm usually slicing and dicing veggies while there are little boys just there with me. this particular afternoon they were all coloring contentedly at the table. 

 i am enjoying them each so much and these summer days are precious.
